Online shopping is great, but getting to see the home in person is an entirely different ballgame. You’ll find that some homes are not what they seem in pictures. You might be absolutely positive that you’re going to fall in love with a home only to find out that the layout just doesn’t work for you. Or maybe the pictures are terrible, but when you walk in it’s better than you could have ever imagined. Both of these situations have happened time and time again with my clients. Taking the time to go view a home with potential is always a good idea.
A few tips and tricks to keep in mind when viewing homes
- We don't want to view too many properties in one day. They all start to run together.
- Don't be put off by interior decor - it can and will be changed. A little paint goes a LONG way.
- Bring a notebook and pen or your phone with you. It's good to take notes about what you like or dislike.
- When you find a property you like, it's a good idea to drive by at different times of day to get a feel for the surrounding areas.
- Don't hesitate to ask questions. If I don't know the answer, I will find out.
